  2. Your friend Brooke has a cool blog. I'm "borrowing" a couple of images to embroider.

  4. looks staged to me. when i think of happy, i don't think of choreography.

  5. it's totally staged. but so is a lot of the art and the images i like.

but now you have me trying to think of an image or a work of art that i think really does capture happy. and i'm not sure what does.

  6. maybe the phrase fake it until you make it applies for this shot? ;)

A lot of art is staged though...when you recreate life, you sometimes have to "stage it."

  8. you mean you don't see women leaping and cavorting amidst balloons on the beach?

or that you expect the women you see leaping and cavorting amidst balloons on the beach to have ideally shaped bodies, immaculately toned legs, and perfectly coiffed hair? (the side effects of living in the o.c., you know; you begin to believe the fake female bodies you encounter regularly are actually real...)

  9. Actually, it's my new blog post wherever I go. I just say something like "those ____ don't even look realistic." It just strikes me as the funniest thing, I don't know why (I laughed to myself for like 10 minutes when I posted that phrase on Brooke's blog about the album with the dogs on the cover). True, it doesn't seem funny explaining it here. But I'm sure I'll post it again somewhere. I'm addicted.
