tidbit.
tonight i uttered the words: "i like spam better." and then, when i realized what i had said, i laughed. but i was serious. to contextualize, perhaps i should mention that i was comparing spam to vienna sausages. surely you, too, like spam better than vienna sausages?
spam or vienna sausages? are you joking? i'm here with the Big Dangerous and his little friend and all three of us agree that vienna sausages are the only way to go. unless you can get pigs in a blanket.
ReplyDeletehmm. do i know the big dangerous? it's not ringing a bell.
ReplyDeletei like my spam fried, with an egg. maybe even on top of some breadlike something or other, like toast or a waffle or a pancake. my roommates used to give me grief for that one. but what can i say? you can blame my parents if you want; i grew up eating it.
vienna sausages are oh-so-much better than spam! But even better is deviled ham. :)
ReplyDeleteand how about minced hotdogs? anyone ever had those? they were a family specialty for trips to the drive in theater. i honestly don't remember if i would eat them or not. ground up bologna mixed with cheese and mayo and spices and then heated and stuffed into hotdog buns. appetizing, no?
ReplyDeletevienna sausages hands down. Although I confess, I don't think I've ever ate spam.
ReplyDeletei haven't had vienna sausages since i was a kid, but i remember liking them on saltine crackers with a dill pickle. (don't know how good that sounds to me right now.)
ReplyDeletewe've occasionally but not recently had spamburgers for dinner. i do think there are a few cans in the food storage.
